Konami still remembers to release games, at least if they are compilations. This is the case of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection, which will go on sale on August 30 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam for a price of 39.99 euros. The physical version is now available for reservation. This is the fourth title to which we date today.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection includes 8-bit, 16-bit, and arcade TMNT games and their Japanese versions (wherever they exist). The compilation has the collaboration of Nickelodeon, the Paramount subsidiary that owns the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles license, while the developer in charge of adapting all the games to modern systems has been Digital Eclipse, a specialist company when it comes to working with emulators that dedicates part of its activity to the preservation of video games.
Digital Eclipse’s work has gone beyond adaptation. The Californian studio has also included a set of quality features, including save and rewind options at any time, button mapping and the addition of online play for certain games with local multiplayer mode. In addition to the titles, the collection features extras with footage from the original cartoons, comics, and other content. There are also previously unreleased art developments, sketches, and design material from the games.
